For Want of a Drop: Environmental Repression of 2022/2023 Economic Growth (May 16, 2022)

 

Diesel fuel is in short supply, as is jet fuel. The global economy runs on diesel. Sanctions imposed on Russian exports limit the export of diesel and the vacuum gasoil (VGO) that feeds cat crackers at Western refineries to produce more diesel fuel and gasoline. Global diesel stocks are low. The world will plunge into a recession soon—and all for the want of a drop of diesel fuel.
