A Sunset Industry: Oil Capitulates (March 25, 2024)

 

The recently concluded CERAWeek conference in Houston was significant for what was not said. For the first time in memory, the oil industry did not call for more investment. Instead, executives bowed to the pressures of the energy transition, acknowledging, in effect, that oil will be displaced and natural gas abandoned.
