This week's reports focuses on six factors that may put global energy prices under downward pressure: (1) the possiblity of Ukraine cutting off Russian gas shipments to Europe, (2) China's deteriorating economic situation, (3) the build in US Gulf Coast crude inventories, (4) the surge in Chinese strategic crude oil stocks, (5) Chinese buyers leveraging greater discounts from Middle East crude suppliers, and (6) the IEA's seeming illusion that OPEC needs to boost production for the second half of this year.
