The Keystone Pipeline, Orson Welles, and the "War of the Worlds" (November 9, 2015)

Seventy-seven years ago, Orson Welles' Mercury Theater company perpetrated a Halloween hoax on millions of Americans. His Sunday night radio performance of "War of the Worlds," an update of H.G. Wells' book The War of the Worlds, scared listeners across the country into believing Martians were taking over the world and exterminating humans. It was, until recently, one of the greatest pranks put over on the American people. The success achieved by Orson Welles has now been surpassed by Russ Girling, president and CEO of TransCanada.
