Protectionist America: The Trump Put™ (December 2016)
Our nation has turned inward. Donald Trump, the forty-fifth president of the United States, has played to the base instincts of the electorate, echoing the calls for America first uttered by the most rightwing members of the US Congress, formerly fringe members of the Republican party but now, apparently, its mainstream. Under President Trump, Washington will pursue policies to protect American jobs and American industry, whatever the cost. The oil and gas industry will be the greatest beneficiary.
