Has Oil Reached the Edge of a Cliff? (September 26, 2016)

 

Various news agencies reported that an OPEC production freeze depended on Iran's willingness to participate. The message seemed clear, partly because Iranian officials said nothing. The Algiers meeting will likely achieve very little. Consequently, oil prices will probably head down. This time, though, they may take the elevator rather than the escalator, and the ground floor may not be $30 per barrel.
